Join us this summer holiday for magical food, drink and optional craft activities throughout the week.
Crafts Available: wand making, dragon eggs, potion bottles (birthday parties only, age 8+), magic talismans & charms, pot painting and cauldron creatures
Available during our 'Daytime at The Steel Cauldron' sessions, every day we are open throughout the holidays. Booking advisable but happy to take walk-ins if we have space.
Crafting is optional, just order your craft while ordering food & drink.
A wide range of food and drink will be on offer during the session, menus may differ depending on the time of day.

The fantastic Flying Squadron will be joining us again this summer holiday. As the Owls are so popular we have added extra sessions during the week, so you can see them on Wednesdays and Fridays as well as on a Sunday.
Enjoy one of our magical potions while Professor Alba leads a fascinating talk and flying demonstration, letting her wonderful owls soar across teapot tavern. This will be followed by our food service and a selfie opportunity.
Not able to make the display times? Then do not fear, you can still meet an Owl, simply book a 'Daytime at the Steel Cauldron' session on a day that the Owls are in the building (see below). Professor Alba regularly tours the tables with the Owls between flying displays (11.30am-3.00pm Wed, Fri and Sundays) allowing Owl selfies and answering questions.
Flying Display - £8.25 per person
The Owls will make visits to The Steel Cauldron on most Sundays (Wednesdays & Fridays during the school Summer Holidays), but please check dates for availability before coming to avoid disappointment.

Allow our resident wizard, Prof. Carter, to guide and teach you real magic tricks. All tricks taught are easy to learn and perform and require no special skills or knowledge. You will learn in your own family/social groups and no-one is made to do any public performances of the tricks, Professor Carter knows this can be a worry for some people. Each lesson can be taken without having attended any of the previous lessons and are all suitable for absolute beginners.
Professor Carter has been teaching magic for over ten years, you are in very safe hands. The lessons are suitable for aspiring wizards aged 6+ (under 16s will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult) and need to be booked in advance.

A fun and interactive magic show with spells, charms and enchantments. Fun for all the family! A truly magical experience!
Eat, Drink and Spells is a fun and interactive magic show, led by resident wizard Professor Carter who will guide you in an introductory course of spells and enchantments.
The show includes several wonderous spells and awe-inspiring illusions. This experience is perfect for wizards of any age and is an ideal family trip out.
Students are encouraged to bring their own wands and wear appropriate wizarding attire although not crucial to their enjoyment, training wands can be provided.

Come and join us on THURSDAY MORNINGS throughout the summer holidays for a magical morning of play, stories and songs. Both sides of the Cauldron will be open exclusively for our Little Wizard session. Explore our wizardy play shops including the fancy dress area, cars and trains, mythical beasts (and real ones), book store, play kitchen, and baby area.
Doors open at 10am, tea and coffee biscuits and toddler snacks included.
Story and a song at 11.15 to finish
As its the summer holidays if you wish to stay on afterwards then please book a 'Daytime at The Steel Cauldron' session for 12 noon to avoid disappointment
FREE TO BOOK - you don't need to book but if we are full then we will have to prioritise those that have booked.
Just £5 for your first child and £2 for each additional child (payable on arrival)
We are delighted to have teamed up with the wonderful Debs and Declan from Scales and Tails to bring you an awesome creepy creature encounter. Enjoy our excellent selection of food and drink whilst meeting and learning about a wonderful array of magical creatures including snakes and even a real life dragon!
The cost of the session is £12.50 per person, we have food & drink options available too (check out our menu pages to see more.)
